Description
The Tarr and Wonson Paint Manufactory buildings are landmarks in Gloucester Harbor. They were constructed in 1874 and they are located on Gloucester's Rocky Neck. The company developed a copper paint that is used on the bottom of boats to prevent barnacles. They closed in the1980s but the buildings have become a symbol of Gloucester’s long-standing fishing industry.
