Artist's Description
This is my digital art version of this photo. In Ashburnham, MA there is a town landmark. It is a bronze school boy statue at the entrance to Cushing Academy that stands on the corner of Main St. and School St. It was sculptured by Bela Lyon Pratt and the official title was The School Boy of 1850. It was cast in 1913 and commissioned by Ivers W. Adams. Cushing also now has a school girl statue too.
